CITY HALL HOURS:
Monday - Wednesday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Thursday 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. & Friday 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Closed everyday 12-1 p.m for lunch.
The City of Bentley has a Mayor-Council form of government, with all governing body positions being elective. General elections take place every two years in April (of odd-number years), with three of the five council members being elected and/or two council members and the mayor position being elected. They serve four year terms of office.
City Council Meetings are open the public and everyone is urged to attend. The meetings are the second Thursday of each month, 7 p.m. in Bentley City Hall.
All other city officials are appointed annually by the Mayor, with the city council approval. City employees include city clerk, deputy city clerk/municipal court clerk, city treasurer, public works director and assistant public works director. In additional, this council oversees the city-financed departments of Volunteer Fire Department, Volunteer Emergency Medical Services, Recreation Committee and Planning Commission.
